Day of Caring

We would like to say thank you to everyone in the community who was involved in our Second Annual Day of Caring Thursday, Sept. 17. This year we had over 230 volunteers working on 26 projects within our community.

Volunteers from the City of Coeur d’ Alene and Mountain West Bank painted the outside of the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store and a team from UPS worked hard and put in extra time to build a concrete walkway leading from their soup kitchen to the shelter. Other projects consisted of the US Bank Service Center building a security fence for Freedom House after NIC students had laid the posts, and Hecla Mining, Esterline Advanced Input Systems, and Empire Airlines worked up a sweat splitting, stacking, and delivering wood to the elderly.

There were many other projects and many other teams involved and we would like to thank each and every one of you who volunteered to work on projects or flip pancakes at the kickoff breakfast. Your help created lasting changes in our community.

Thank You to Our Sponsors

Without you this couldn’t have been possible.
Our major sponsors were; Mountain West Bank, Coeur d’ Alene Kiwanis, and the Coeur d’ Alene Rotary- Sunrise.

Thanks also to Rustler’s Roost, Mountain States Early Head Start, NIC Head Start, Lake City Rental, Safeway, Food Services of America, Cash and Carry, Wal-Mart, KXLY TV and KXLY Radio.

We extend a special thank you to the Coeur d’ Alene Rotary volunteers who came out and cooked the breakfast.

Awesome job everyone!
